Topical numbing cream is applied before injection, and many products contain built-in lidocaine. Discomfort is minimal — most patients describe it as mild pressure rather than pain.
HA filler is reversible. If urgent adjustment is needed, hyaluronidase (an HA-dissolving enzyme) can partially or fully dissolve the filler. This is rarely needed with careful pre-injection design.
